A Day of Practical Conservation
Outside the planting season, corporate groups are invited to take part in Conservation Days at Dunsany Estate, arranged in partnership with Irish Trees. These hands-on days focus on the vital, practical work that underpins long-term rewilding from removing invasive species to supporting young trees and maintaining diverse habitats.
By rolling up your sleeves and contributing directly, your team helps ensure the success of Ireland’s largest private rewilding project, while also building stronger connections with one another in a natural setting.
What to Expect at
Conservation days
A typical conservation day runs from 10:30am – 3:00pm and includes a mix of education, activity, and reflection:
Warm Welcome at Dunsany Castle: Arrive to tea, coffee, and introductions.
Estate Overview: Learn about the Estate’s rewilding vision and history.
Guided Walk: Explore key habitats such as the Abbey (featured in Braveheart) and our ancient woodland.
Team Conservation Work: Get hands-on with practical tasks such as removing invasive species, supporting young trees, and maintaining natural habitats.
Photo Treasure Hunt: Capture team moments and enjoy time to reflect in nature.
Practical Details
All equipment is supplied, and to round off the day, we can arrange a Gourmet Food Parlour Eco Picnic, or you are welcome to bring your own.
